We’ll now explain the game rules and how each type of pool works in more detail:
- Tournament by rounds/phases (RECOMMENDED)
- Single match
- Example of how points work
How to Play – Tournament by Phases (RECOMMENDED)
How does it work?
-
Enter your scores up to 5 minutes before the start of each match.
-
Once a phase in real life is finished, Pollaya automatically enables the next phase (round of 16, quarterfinals, etc.) so you can continue entering predictions.
-
If your group includes the positions for champion, runner-up, or third place, you must select them before the deadline set by the group administrator.
-
If the option is enabled, you can also predict the top scorer, best assist, golden ball, or best goalkeeper. These points are only awarded at the end of the tournament.
-
If there is extra time, the score after 120 minutes is taken into account.
-
Penalty kicks are not considered for awarding points.
-
If two players are tied on points, the one with more exact score predictions wins.
Note: After the tournament has started, the administrator will no longer be able to modify the deadline unless they have purchased this additional option. The administrator can also buy modification packages after the tournament has started, but these come with an additional one-time fee.
How are points awarded?
Here’s how points are awarded in a group that uses the following logic:
-
3 points for correctly predicting the exact score
-
2 points for predicting the result (winner or draw)
-
1 point for predicting the goals of one of the teams

Simple Match Group
A Simple Match refers to a group created to predict a single match, such as England vs Argentina. This match becomes a separate group or pool where participants can join and make their predictions.
How does it work?
-
Only predictions for this single match will be considered. It is not part of the main tournament group.
-
Repeated Score Option: The administrator can enable or disable the option for users to repeat score predictions. If repeated scores are allowed and there is a tie, the administrator has the authority to choose a winner or award the prize to all participants who predicted the correct score. This decision is entirely dependent on the internal agreement when playing.
-
View Predictions Before the Match Starts: The administrator can activate or deactivate the option to allow participants to see each other’s predictions before the match starts.
